A third platform is being planned and will be the terminus of the Urban service of the [[Seiyo/Lamtsu Main Line (Urban)|Seiyo and Lamtsu Urban service]].

The [[Moonlight Hakone]] service was reeintroduced around the same time, now terminating at Tai Hing instead of Lamtsu. That has the unfortunate consequence of skipping Misato, but [[Aotetsu]] does not have rolling stock that can fit the platform screen doors at Misato.

Tai Hing Forest is the primary railway station serving the Tai Hing area.

History

Tai Hing Forest was originally called "Tai Hing", servicing the costal parts of the then-small town of Tai Hing. Hakone was by far more important until the Tai Hing Upgrade Project was implemented, which brought some high-density residential blocks to the area.
