It was the primary operator of suburban services in the Joban region until Harmony Rail Transit sold off HRT (Joban), HRT (Lamtsu), and HRT (New Tsihai) in June 2022, due to financial difficulties and internal conflicts.
Qingli Railways was formed by various ex-HRT members to take over HRT (Joban), while HRT (Lamtsu) spun off to it's own company called Shintetsu.
