The Fuka-MP RTS Train Phase I is a train operated by the Joban Transport Department for the Fuka-Metropolis APM. It is the first train in The District of Joban to have dynamic on-board LCD screen installed via Nemo's Transit Expansion JSON display format.

In August 2024, the display has been migrated to use NTE Javascript for rendering.

History

The Fuka-Metropolis APM is first proposed by the Kowloon-Canton Railway in Early 2023 to link between the upcoming rebuilt Metropolis Station.

However as there were no other competitors at the time, concerns were raised that KCR may raising the price of the APM to make a profit. Soon KCR handed over future construction and development to the Joban Transport Department.

All railway operators of Joban were soon invited to propose ideas for the APM, where Rigel Corporation stated the interest of incorporating Dynamic LCD Route Map onto the screen.

An order is placed for the rolling stock which reserves areas for the display according to the specification stated by Rigel Corporation.

After the delivery, Rigel Corporation started working on the LCD Screen, and was installed to the first train in Mid 2023, and on all trains in Late 2023, before the APM has started operation.

The JSON LCD Screen continues to be used throughout other types of train, such as the KCR SP1900 train.

In August 2024, some railfans have spotted that the text displayed in the screen is notably higher quality than it previously was, it is suspected that the display has been migrated over to Native Javascript Rendering
