Tai Hing Forest is the primary railway station serving the Tai Hing area.
History
Tai Hing Forest was originally called "Tai Hing", servicing the costal parts of the then-small town of Tai Hing. Hakone was by far more important until the Tai Hing Upgrade Project was implemented, which brought some high-density residential blocks to the area.
Tai Hing Forest initially had one platform. The second platform was added to transfer to the Tai Hing tram. The Single-tracked Mihara Line only required one platform for services that were not all that common.
In 2022, the Seiyo Main Line (Urban) service was extended to terminate at Tai Hing Forest.
The Moonlight Hakone service was reeintroduced around the same time, now terminating at Tai Hing instead of Lamtsu. That has the unfortunate consequence of skipping Misato, but Aotetsu does not have rolling stock that can fit the platform screen doors at Misato.
