The Rigel Corporation (Rigel Corp; Chinese: 里格爾集團) is a government-owned railway network operator established in 2003 for the operation of Rigel Line. It's main goal is to control monopolies in the public transport category, and put pressure on other railway companies to improve their services.
History
Establishment
During 2003, the Joban Government has conducted a survey of public transports for over 500 million people. It was found that the most dissatisfied type of transportation is trains. Many criticisms comes from noisiness, efficiency and affordability.
The Joban Government decided to construct a new line with a new railway company, where one of it's section duplicates an existing line with the most ridership.
Rigel Line

In 2006, the Phase 1 section of Rigel Line is opened for public.
The Phase 2 section of Rigel Line is opened for public in 2008.
Metropolis Line

In 2009, Rigel's proposal of the new Metropolis Line was selected
