The HE3 Series is an upcoming Shinkansen type to be used by HRT (Lamtsu) for services east of Lamtsu. Designed by New Tshai Industries in conjunction with Kata Heavy Industries, these trains are based on Hitachi technology similar to that used on the Kyushu Shinkansen 800 Series.
The E3 Series has a maximum design speed of 320 km/h, but is limited to 200 in service due to Joban and Sorano policy limiting high-speed trains to 200km/h, except by special request. The livery of all the trains excluding the HRT 903-5 "Mikaya" is white with a red stripe. Mikaya has her livery painted whenever promotions are going on, on when there are special services to be run.
