The District of Joban Vtuber Park Line

Vtuber Park Line

From The District of Joban

The Vtuber Park Line was a railway line operated by Harmony Rail Transit (Lamtsu).

The Vtuber Park Line connected Misato Station with Lamtsu Vtuber Park. Officially, the name Vtuber Park Line was assigned to the 100m branch line that branched from the Ome Line shortly after Tsuwano to Lamtsu Vtuber Park, but the entire route was commonly referred to by HRT Lamtsu as the Vtuber Park Line in branding and system maps.

The line was shut down in 2022 during the Great Lamtsu Railway Rebuild, and the portion of the Ome Line from Misato to Tsuwano has since been converted for heritage use, excluding a short section from Yellowstones to Tsuwano that is still used by the Iizuna Line.

History

The Vtuber Park Line was constructed along with the Lamtsu Vtuber Park, branching off the Ome Line towards Tsuwano. Originally only used by special Ai Liner services, pressure from residents as well as the lack of Ome Local trains caused HRT Lamtsu to start all-stop services from Misato to Tsuwano, with a shuttle service from Lamtsu Vtuber Park to Tsuwano. This did not last long, and the local and shuttle services were combined in 2019, for one continuous route from Misato to Ome. HRT Lamtsu then stopped Ome Line local services between Misato and Mihara, replacing them with Rapid services.

Mihara Freight Line

The Mihara Freight Line is a viaduct linking Sasaguri Station to Lamtsu Vtuber Park, following a route north of the Misato Freight Line. Despite it's name, the Frieght Line rarely sees freight traffic, with most services on the line being Ai Liner services. This is due to the original plan for the reconstruction, which would have involved a few local stops on the line. However, due to land aquisition issues, the line was renamed to the Mihara Freight Line, and has no stops.
